Sitting is “Killing” You!!

Many of my clients hear me repeatedly say that extended sitting isn’t natural for the human body. There has been research to indicate that stress on the spine is significant when factors of ergonomics (ie. sitting angle) and length of time are present. I came across a great graphic that illustrates my concerns. A number of statistics taken from research sites and blogs have been collected and placed into this graphic. I encourage anyone and everyone to use this as a benchmark for your motivation to make changes in your workplace or at home. Granted today’s workplace demands or job descriptions place the pressures on you to be seated at a desk for hours on end…. however, at the very least, do the following to minimize the effects on your body:
