Hello, and welcome!

Born and raised in Powell River, BC, I moved to the lower mainland in 1996 to attend post-secondary education. In 1998, I graduated from the British Columbia Institute of Technology with a Diploma in Financial Management.

Following my years of employment in banking and health insurance fields, I chose to shift my career into a new direction. I looked for a career option that combined my interests in helping people with my gregarious, yet calm demeanour.

In December 2004, I graduated from the Massage Therapy diploma program at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy (New Westminster Campus). This intense, three-year, 3000-hour curriculum included training in the assessment of soft tissue and joints in the body, as well as the treatment and prevention of injury, pain and physical disorders. This program’s design is considered to be the most stringent of its kind, producing some of the most educated and highly trained massage therapist professionals in the world.

Aside from the holistic work of massage therapy, I enjoy a healthy lifestyle that includes floor hockey, weightlifting, travel, mountain biking and hiking. In 2009, I completed 12 years of service in the Canadian Armed Forces (Army). Ultimately reaching the rank of Captain, I spent my military career with the Royal Canadian Army Cadet youth organization, instructing the youth in music, survival skills and adventure activities such as abseiling (rock climbing).

I have been a Registered Massage Therapist since 2005, and I am also a Certified ART® (Active Release Techniques) Practitioner. I provide several massage therapy modalities. For more information on what massage techniques I offer, please visit the Services page.

Yours in health and wellness,
